I have an extraordinary amount of love for this story by rtgirl
. Luckily, she updates rapidly. As a matter of fact, the final chapter and epilogue may be up by the time this is posted. I adore Sweetward. When he plays baseball too? It is basically a three-alarm fire for me. Sweet and hot? This is pretty much a dream combination!

Edward plays college baseball. Bella works in the library. The baseball team has mandatory study hall four days a week. It is exquisite torture for Bella.
Twelve thirty-five on the dot.

It's my favorite time of day because every Monday through Thursday, my dream guy walks through those library doors like clockwork.

Like he freakin' owns the place.

Smirking as he walks by like he owns me.

Every day it's the same thing. First I hear the tell-tale crunch crunch of his metal spiked cleats as he walks through the doors. Stupid university library. Who cares that tile floors are easier on upkeep than carpet? It's also louder! Now I can't miss him
!
When I look up, he's always wearing some varying shade of Under Armour shirt-that he was obviously poured into-and it's tucked into his tight, grey baseball pants that seriously make me lose my damn mind. That kind of fine is so not fair.

Their practice is at two o'clock every afternoon and rather than waste time by going back to the dorms to change, he and his teammates come to their mandatory study hall already dressed out, ready to play. Trying to kill me.

Stupid coaches with their stupid mandatory study halls.

Then, as he walks by with his back pack slung over one shoulder all casual-like…like he doesn't have a care in the world…he winks and mouths 'Sorry, Bella,' before he takes his seat over at one of the tables in the corner, his chair facing my check-in desk.

Of course. Like those two seconds weren't torture enough.

And it's like that.

Every. Damn. Day.

How sexy is this set up? If you are like me and love a guy in baseball uniform – you can all too easily picture how much it heats Bella up to see the team all dressed four times a week. Add the super sexy Edward to the mix and it is no wonder she is so frustrated!

Bella may be a tiger in her own mind, but she is still the sweet, shy girl we all know and love. It takes her some time to figure out how to move from lusting and gentle flirting from afar to actually having a conversation with Edward. When she may finally get her nerve up – a major roadblock:

A few more steps closer and I realize for the first time that he's not alone. Sitting on an upturned five gallon bucket just outside of the cage is a pretty girl with strawberry blonde hair, huddled in a hoodie with his name and number on the back of it. She's cackling with her head thrown back at the fact that he'd actually just missed a pitch. His smile back at her is amazing and I'm instantly heartbroken. They seem really comfortable together.

Feeling a little sick to my stomach, and not wanting to get caught gawking, I quietly turn and beat a path back to my room. Once there, I quickly send a text to both Rose and Alice letting them know that I'd made it home safely.

Should Bella be worried? Is her dream man involved with someone else? Alice to the rescue! Of course Edward and the mystery girl are comfortable around each other; she is Lucy, his big sister. With no romantic entanglements in the way, Bella must be brave and speak to Edward.
Speaking to Edward is a little awkward for Bella, but it does lead to more speaking, and eventually a date. The evolution of their relationship is almost achingly sweet, but so good.
As an extra treat there are occasional glimpses into Edward via his journal entries. If you thought the Edward Bella sees is sweet, the real Edward is totally swoon-worthy.

The small moments are what make this story for me. The moments where Edward and Bella show each other how much they care. Each touch is sweet and tinged with heat. It doesn’t matter how slow the build up is, you will love every moment of their time together.

And Edward’s last journal entry? It is a doozy! If you haven’t started Just A Kiss, click over to the story right now – you will be swept away by all the sweet swoony goodness too.
